What training methods do you use?

At ABC we insist on only using positive reinforcement methods to train your dog. We never use forceful methods or punishment to get results from your dogs.

Is my dog too old for training?

Completely forget about “you can’t teach an old dog new tricks” 
Certain health issues may impede your training but no dog is too old for training.

My dog has specific training needs. Can you customise your training?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely!
All our 1-2-1 sessions are completely customised to you and your dogs needs. 
After an assessment, our trainers will put a plan together in order to gain the best results for you and your dog. 
In group classes we can work around certain issues, but if your dog feels too overwhelmed, over excited or stressed in a group environment, then we would recommend 1-2-1 sessions where you will learn techniques in order to control and manage your dog in a much more settled environment.
This way you could use group classes as something to aim for as a progression route for your dog.

How old does my dog have to be to start training?

We recommend that your puppy is fully vaccinated before attending training. 
It is recommended that you wait 2 weeks after your puppies second needles.
12 weeks is a good time to begin your training, again along as your puppy is fully vaccinated. 
Other than puppies, you can start any time.

What breeds of dogs do you train?

There are no legal breeds in the uk that we don’t train.

Question 8

Is an assessment required before I can book any training?

Accepted Answer

An assessment is required for 1-2-1’s and home visits, however these would be included for no extra charge.

For home boarding and residential training, a £18 charge for an assessment will be required. 
If your dog is found to not be suitable, then this charge will be refunded.

Which forms of payment do you accept?

Accepted Answer

We currently accept PayPal and bank transfer upon request.
